Part of our mission here is to help curate a list of not only the best local talent we can find but also finest in events and activities as well. Luckily we had to chance be a part of an event that, while still in its early stages, is already making waves around the city. We are speaking of none other than Brunch On 4th. The Sunday celebration hosted by Dr. Faith Wilkerson and JT Logan. Owners of Unlocking RVA and Four Deep Multimedia respectively. These two joined forces to fill what they felt was a void in the city. Providing people with the opportunity to get together in a safe space while enjoying food, drinks, new live performances, and DJs every month.
The name says it all. Brunch On 4th happens every 4th Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Champion Brewing Company located at 401 E Grace St, Richmond, VA 23219. Even though we’re coming up on only the 3rd hosting of this event, great talent has already taken part in the festivities. Already having performances from local talent by the likes of Jon Bibbs, Radio B, DJ Nobe, and DJ Markus Gold is no small feet. If this is how they are coming out of the gate, we can only imagine what’s in store as this movement continues to grow.
This coming Sunday, March 24th, 2019, happens to be the 4th Sunday of the month. While we are unsure of what artists may be performing they have already announced the legendary DJ Lonnie B will be gracing the 1s & 2s. That alone should be enough to get you in the building. If the entertainment isn’t enough to draw you in then come for the food. Chicken and waffles, macaroni and cheese, bacon, sausage, greens, grits, and so much more. Unlocking RVA and Four Deep really have this thing hitting on all cylinders.
Tickets are $35.00 for the full brunch buffet plus mimosas and only $10.00 chill and enjoy the company and entertainment. Also, this time they are partying with a cause. 15% of all proceeds from the event will go to the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Who says you can’t turn up with a cause?
