A few months back we had the pleasure of attending Brunch on 4th. A monthly event held by Four Deep Multimedia and Unlocking RVA. On the 4th Sunday of every month, these two forces come together like Voltron and provide the city with a great time. Amazing atmosphere, music, food, drinks and so much more.
The first event we attended was great. Packed house, live entertainment, and mimosas flowing everywhere. Even with the event proving to be a success, there were a few things that could have taken it to the next level. Those were the drinks and a few of the key food dishes. Both things have been addressed and now are equally top-notch.
- The Drinks:
- Originally the brunch only serviced mimosas, albeit ones of different flavors. Traditional, raspberry, peach, and more
- NOW they have mimosas plus a FULL BAR and a host of their own specialty drinks.
- The Food:
- Don’t get me wrong, the food at the brunch has always been good. Especially the breakfast food. Waffles, omelet bar, grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, and more. The only hiccup came with the more lunch specific items. The mac & cheese specifically just didn’t do it for me.
- NOW EVERYTHING is flawless. So good in fact I may make my way to the new location before 4th Sunday just to have it again.
That brings us to the key factor in these changes. Brunch On 4th has moved to a new location. You can now find Four Deep and Unlocking RVA posted every 4th Sunday at Fatty Smokes, 328 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220. Great staff, great food and just a great venue overall. Music for the event was in the hands of RVA’s very own DJ Rayvon who definitely did not disappoint. Check out our quick recap video that shows the lovely TheBellWithTwoLs live in the action as well as our gallery of pictures below.
Don’t just take our word for it though, come and see for yourself. If you would like to purchase your ticket for the next brunch click HERE. You can also purchase tickets at the front door. We’ll see yall next 4th Sunday. If you see anyone from HLX while you’re there, don’t be afraid to say hello.
